Friendship Poem (from a Mentee to her Mentor)

A poem written by a student for her mentor at the end of an 8 month GR8 MATES school-based mentoring journey and shared with all mentors and mentees at the final Celebration of Learning event.

FRIENDSHIP

You're my friend and that is true,

But the gift was from me to you.

We went through moments that were good and bad

Even moments that were happy and sad.

You supported me when I was in tears

We'll stick together for years and years.

It's really sad that it has to be this way

But it has reached its very last day.

Miles away can't keep us apart,

Because YOU will always be in my heart.
